that looks real nice- the carpet match is a real benefit.

that folding thing is awesome that looks really nice to

the folding thing is real nice and creative...but why not just use an xm compatible head unit?

because i listen to my XM alot more at home then i do in my truck, i only use my truck right now for getting to and from school, and to friends houses, and in a town of 5k its not too hard, and like right now, im listening to XM at the computer, thats a cool feature of these plug and play radios, plus i only pay one subscription, instead of paying for two

i will work on it more though the week and try to hide the cables a little better, lol, they make it look a little sloppy, but the cool thing about where the XM is placed, is instead of looking off the road and at my XM, i can instead have it right there at my fingertips

looks real nice and clean, bet it sounds real good too!

it does sound really good, im having some probs with my AUX line though, im having problems isolating a hiss, also the at volume level 40 on AUX, is nearly equal to what it is at volume level 30 on the CD player, but other then that, everything does sound great :D

ah, i see. that is cool.

Odtoxic,

How is that XM powered? Do you use an inverter or just the cigarette lighter?

If you use an inverter maybe the RCA's are too close to the power source and its causing the hiss/distortion you are hearing?

well, i might be cheating on where i get the power from...actualy in 2 ways

#1. I made sure that my ground and my power supply is the same for my HU and my XM radio, meaning i taped into the 12volt constant that goes into the HU, and also the same for the ground

#2. My remote turn on wire for my sub amp shares the same source as my 12volt switched going into the HU

but ive installed a ground loop isolator between the XM and the HU, so im not sure where this hissing is comming from, ive noticed that when i have the volume set kinda high, and i start pulling the power and phono cord out of the XM harness...the hissing changes pitches, and becomes louder

from where i get the power behind the HU, the wires run down into a modified ciggy addapter that i hid behind the dash, actualy right underneath the message center, also hidding in behind the message center is my crossovers for my components in the front, and many other various wires running to and from
