My Wife just called.. Might be major problem with EX.

So, no need to drain the Rad then? Just catch what spills and top up when done?

That's all I did... I didn't even bother trying to catch what spilled... it makes one heckuva mess no matter how you do it. If you drained it first, that would probably help, but I wouldn't hold my breath. It wasn't worth the effort to me. I lost less than 2 quarts... mainly just what drained out of the upper radiator hose when you separate the housing.
