...just have to vent. I picked up a 01 Escape for my wife, it just arrived to the dealer from Nevada.
It looks like it just rolled off the showoom floor, the undercarriage is spakin' clean. (not even a hit of rust)
Here in CT the salt just kills the underbody! I just wish my Mountaneer looked like that...
It must be heaven working on a vehicle that has not seen snow, no rust, no WD-40, no rust in the eyes...
..again, just had to vent. (And I thought I did a pretty good washing of the underside of my vehicle throughout the winter.)
It does seem worse the last few years since they went to a "liquid" type of road melt.
