main switch power

How do you remove the switches fron the door paneland what wires do i test than you for your help

I've renamed, and moved your thread to the stock 2002-2005 section. The main switch panel is located on the driver's door. There should be a screw holding it on. Remove it, and pop out the switch panel.

Driver's door there is a wire harness running between the door and body in a rubber boot, many have found - shorted, cut or frayed wires in there. to get the door panel off you have to remove the small panel around the handle first, then the switch will pull up, and 3 screws otherwise you will break a clip on the window switch. Look for spearker write ups on the third gen, some have posted pics.

i had this problem in my 02 explorer...i found a broken ground wire in the boot between the drivers side door and the body of the car
