I feel it mainly through the steering wheel. I just balanced the tires, I replaced the hubs last month. The CV shafts seem ok but I haven't pulled them yet. Could it be the front shaft u-joints? What else would give me a vibration at speeds over 55 mph? This truck is making it hard for me to love it anymore.

Accelerating, I adjusted my torsion bars which suprisingly helped but I fear it is either the transmission or transfer case again.

My bet would be on the CV's. If you changed the ride height of the truck and the vibration changed I can't see it being anything else but CV's up front.

Oh and get an alignment too. If you did a TT and didn't align the truck it will be all out of wack. A bad alignment can cause vibrations too. So can bad brakes, but those won't do a thing different when ride height is changed.

Ride height has not changed, rotors are new and CV joints are tight. I have been messing around and when I coast it seems fine. I am more comviced it is the transmission or transfer case. Insert unhappy face here

You said you adjusted your Torsion Bars.. so you did change your ride height.

I think I might have found the problem. I heard a "click" as I was leaving my driveway and I have a feeling that my upper a-arm bushings might be bad on the drivers side and it is causing my alignment to change. The rack has devloped some play in it as well which is totally unacceptable to me, something else to replace. I still have a drivetrain vibration that worries me too. U-joints are next. I will be checking the a-arms this weekend. As far as the adjustment of the torsion bars went I had noticed that the passenger side was drooping and it seems as if the adjustement bolt had backed out. If I end up replacing more of the front end components I will use blue loc-tight on them bolts. Unfortunatly I am getting tired of messing around with this truck, which seems to be a weekly thing these days. As much as I love this Ford I think it is time to find a different ride, mainly because of these POS transmissions. If I can only find a donor with the 5 speed manual for a decent price then maybe I will keep it.
