Name of a part?

I got a 2004 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0L V6 Flex Fuel. Does this motor even have a DPFE sensor or is it packed with other parts like the egr silonoid? A part number or general name would be a great help. Also I was looking into putting a flowmaster 40 or 50 series muffler on. Which sounds best for overall tone. Don't want to sound like a bumble bee with roid rage.

You should have a DPFE Sensor:

How do you know you need to replace the DPFE Sensor? Did you get the codes read? If not, I would get them read, local parts stores like AutoZone, etc., should do it for nothing. Once you get the code(s) then post up here. That way any help or advice can be pinpointed to your issue.

Thanks. I had code for improper flow to egr. Seafoamed it. Still showed the code. Replaced egr and code came back after I reset the computer. Then I learned about the dpfe sensor. thanks again man!
