Looking to upgrade my Brakes on my 2010 4.6L. I bought it with 90k miles from an old guy from Kansas(I'm in Minnesota). I have 115k on it now - was in getting trans serviced and they brought up my brakes. Seems rotors are nice and pitted kinda rusty crusty and pads need replacement. With that being brought up I have definitely felt brake fading. All looked fine year before when I did the wheel hubs. Currently the set that's on there is motorcraft and I know they are lacking - wanted to replace them when I first bought it but, they looked in really good shape and they seemed ok as long as I didn't haul anything.

In any case time to replace. I have a buddy that swears by Napa fleet and a buddy that swears by Bosch. I can't find data on who specifically, manufacturers Napa Fleet probably BPI in general - I know they make raybestos and Centric. What are yours guys thoughts? Maybe I should look at other brands?

I replaced all four rotors around three years ago and went with Brembo discs and Akebono pads from Rock Auto. They have been excellent with no issues and with very little to no rusting on the rotors but I am in the Mid Atlantic area. The few times I have had to lay on the brakes the combination has performed very well. When I was researching what to buy I found nearly all rotors are made in China these days. The main reason I went with Brembo is because they keep a physical presence in China to ensure the quality of the rotors are kept up to their standards. Also, the price of Brembo rotors aren't outrageous. Or a least when I bought them.
