Yeah, i posed a question to them about a solution. Given that the unit has 1.0x any version would be an improvement. I am shocked the owner did not get updated while in warranty. Maybe Ford doesn't provide it. I have been discussing this with my son and a nominal fee is one thing for some update as you indicated what you're getting is not outrages. The instruction I found requires the serial number to be entered off the DVD. Maybe they put some sort of lock on what it will install in to maximize the dollars they collect.
