I'm new to the Explorer Forum. I have a 97 Explorer Sport 2wd and was wonderin how to lift it a few inches without havin to mess w/ the torsion bars. Local allignment shops don't like to work on anything around here that torsion bars have been twisted on. I'm lookin to clear 32's. What would yall recommend?

try searching but it sounds like you might want a body lift

Not really. I wanted to try to stick with suspension if i could. I never have been a fan of the front bumper sittin down away from the grill. The lift is pretty much just for show so I'm wanting the best look possible.

You could do a spindle lift on the front & 4 door leaf springs on the rear with Warrior shackles.

FYI you dont actualy twist the tortion bar when you do a TT. There is two bolts (one each side) under where the bars mount to the frame.

Here is how to do the TT

Is the Explorer Pro Comp the only company that makes the lift or is there other companies that make it?

you can use the fabtech edge lift spindle that is that one i used and i liked it more thna the pro comp since it is a little wider.

Whats the difference in the pricing and will it keep the factory settings like the pro comp will?
