2000 limited
i have a 2000 limited edition explorer. i am looking for a way to raise it up a few inches without having to spend an outrageous amount of money. i thought about the trailmaster 4" lift kit but that is 1,500 dollars and after tires wheels and a new drive shaft i would be runnin near 3 grand. i was just wondering if anyone knew of a cheaper but still reliable way.
thanks

Are you opposed to a body lift? You could do a 2 or 3 inch for about 200 dollars including bumper brackets.

In addition to that, you could a TT with shackles and get a 2" lift.

With a 5" total lift you will have no problems running anything under a 35" tire. Also, it is not necessary to get new wheels.

whoa, there jason, not to start any fights or saying i am an expert, i do not belive that a 35" tire will fit a 3" bl and a 2" tt/shackles will aloow 35s.... jefe has a 2000 explorer and has a 3" bl and tt/shackles and he had to do a good amount of trimming and modifying to get those 35s on there

thanks

thank you for the advice. i will probably look into the body and tt/shackle lift and i will probably run 33's thanks fellas

Jim, I said he would have no trouble running anything under a 35 inch tire.
