My Pioneer is finally dyining all the way :( So it time for new tunes...What should I buy? I looking at the 200-300 range. No Sonys or Aiwas! (I'm done with them in the car stereo market)

My old Pioneer lasted about 4-5 years and I lost my left rear channel about a year and half ago. I'm not gonna have an amp hooked up and I'm runnig some 4-5 year old pioneer 2 ways. I was thinking of going with the Pioneer DEH-7600.

What do you guys think?

it dosn't even play MP3's or dvd's but it does have a input at least...probally not for video though! :(

I just got a Pioneer 7600MP. Awesome unit!!! Highly recommended.

If you plan on upgrading the system with a few amps and subs, the 7600 won't do it much justice. From the 7500 to the 7600, they kicked down the preout volts from 4v to 2v. I still love the 500 series though, my 7500 is completely reliable.

Re:

Youve had great success with Pioneer, so stay with them. Find One in your price range and you will be golden. Like Draft said, Pioneer isnt the best for multiple amps, but you said you wont have any amps so that fixes that. You might not have to spend 200$ If you dont want too...If your not installing anything big like subs or anything, than you dont need an HU with A bunch of Preouts or even High Voltage preouts. Ive got a DEHP-3500 and couldnt be happier with it. They arnt made anymore but ive only heard good things about the 3600. Maybe you should consider that and save yourself some Green.

i absolutly love my dehp7500mp and am sorry to hear they replaced it with the (from what ive heard) downgraded 7600 :(

The #'s work like this I think on the Pioneers...

First digit is the series 1k,3k,7k,8k ect...

The secound digit is the year.

6= 2004
5= 2003
4= 2002
3= 2001
2= 2000
1= 1999

The model I have which is dying is a 3100...5 years old :roll:
