I have a 2000 ex limited that i have started creating my own little fake svt model. So with that being said heres my problem. I am used to modifying mustangs not explorers and i know the not obvious differences are many so here we go. I want a truck not for the strip but that will haul tail and sound wicked on the street. its a 2wd with the 4r70w and of course the v8. it has 3.73s factory. i would like to add either heads or 1.7 roller rockers like the 93 cobra. torque monster headers are a must. i need a cam. dont know which way to go on that but i want some bump in it when its idleing. my exhaust at the moment is 2.5 inch from just below the headers to about mid truck then it goes into a duel inlet magnaflow single 3inch outlet. works pretty well but i want true duels now. i need some advice. will my computer work with mods? how far can I push the envelope here. im willing to change any bolt-ons for great streetable power and sound. i will be posting some pics here shortly.

for your computer I would talk to James an Henson performance. search him around here.. he tunes everybodys truck and though i don't have any experience with him yet.. he has amazing customer service and knows these vehicles. tell him your mods and goals and he will write a few tunes for you. usually you get like three excluding stock so you can have one for racing, one for 91 octane one for off road or whatever thing you come up with..
