MY 1993 V-6 4.0 EXPLORER HAS BEEN RUNNING ROUGH AT IDLE WITH A SLIGHT MISS TO IT . I PULLED ALL 6 SPARK PLUGS AND THEY ARE ALL SNOW WHITE , A SIGN OF RUNNING EXTREMELY LEAN .I CHECKED THE COMPRESSION AND ALL 6 CYLENDERS HAVE 160 POUNDS EACH GIVE OR TAKE A POUND OR TWO. I JUST CHANGED EVERY SENSOR UNDER THE HOOD, AS WELL AS THE OXYGEN SENSORS . THIS COST ME A PRETTY PENNY . THIS AFTERNOON I CHANGED THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR. IT STILL RUNS ROUGH AT IDLE . ALL I HAVE LEFT IS CLEANING THE FUEL INJECTORS OR CHANGE THE PCM. I HAVENT FOUND A TECH YET THAT COULD TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT THE CAUSE FOR IT RUNNING THIS ROUGH IS.
QUESTION : IF ALL SIX PLUGS LOOK THE SAME (SNOW WHITE) COULD THE INJECTORS ALL BE PARTIALLY CLOGGED ,OR WILL ONE OR TWO CAUSE THIS .
NEXT ; COULD THE P.C.M. CAUSE ME ALL THIS GRIEF. I HAD THE FORD DEALER PUT IT ON THE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE AND HE TOLD ME NOTHING WRONG . MAN IS HE WRONG
