Sup dudes....

I am having trouble selecting an amp to buy for the right price.

My current setup is a 200W Kenwood DPX-301 Reciever. My speakers are Infinty 180W 5x7s. I already have the Monster Cable running from the Reciever to the rear of the vehicle. The amp will be powering just a 10" Polk Sub (I think its a 200W, not sure though) and the Amp will ALSO be running to my speakers. (Im not sure on how much wattage should go to each speaker, thats why I am here).

Thanks dudes Im just starting to learn all the car audio stuff, and some of it is really technical, Im in over my head. But Im doing all the work myself (best way to learn)
If I am running the Amp to my speakers AND my single 10" sub, I need atleast a 4-Channel, correct?

Im thinking something like this

Kenwood KAC-6402

4-Channel Power Amplifier
Cast Aluminum Heat Sink
RMS Power Output: (CEA-2006 Compliant)
40 Watts x 4 Channels @ 4 Ohms
50 Watts x 4 Channels @ 2 Ohms
100 Watts x 2 Channels @ 4 Ohms (Briged)
Variable High Pass Filter: 50 - 200 Hz
Variable Low Pass Filter: 50 - 200 Hz
Variable Input Sensitivity: 200mV - 5V
High- and Low-Level Inputs
Stereo / Mono Switches
Tri-Mode Capable
Red Power Indicator Jewel
Power MOSFET Switching Power Supply
4- or 2-Channel Input Modes

Would that suffice?

I have about $250 to spend (new)

Thanks dudes

-Joe

Are you planning on powering two 5x7's or four?

If four, are you planning on wiring them in parallel or series? (that might be over your head...?)

I am planning on Amping all (4) of my 5x7 door speakers, along with my (1) 10" Sub, all off the same amp....

kenwood all the way i relently invested in the excelon series everyting and it sounds amazing

I have a kenwood-KAC-9102D for my sub and a rockforf p3002 for my speakers. I love them both and they are both great companys, but I wouldnt recomend using 1 amp for your whole set up because you need to have different wattage for your sub then you would for your speakers. I dont THINK that you will find an amp that you can adjust the wattage per channel but I am not a pro with this stuff ethier, so I dont want to totally rule out the possibilty.
