I put up a pic in the sub box thread. If I can find a video camera, for sure Ill make one. The box is tuned low to 30hz. A guy on youtube, spartanktm? has/had 2 Type Xs in ported box tuned to 31 hz I think... but mine pretty much do what his does LOL. Mine still need to break in tho, after that Ill get just as much, if not more reaction out of everything.
i just checked out your box. looks good man. did i see the wires going into the port?
dont stress about the carpet, its really not so hard to do. i have found the best way to do it is a single piece covering 4 sides, with the seam on the bottom, then 2 pieces on the remaining sides. it could all be a single piece tho if you have a large enough piece to start with and you are careful about your cuts. its very hard to glue all of it all at once, i would not suggest that. also, a few temporary staples can be a wonderful thing! and lots of heavy books or straps or something.
Thank you. Yep, wires through the port for now. Ill rig up something on the side of the box. I saw a bolt-terminal technique used, I might go for that.
i did it the super cheapo way.....drilled holes, run the wires through and sealed them up tight with liquid nails, which i also use to seal the corners on the inside of the box. i always mount my amps on the box so i can take the whole setup out if i need to use the back to haul stuff so it works fine. terminals are nice tho especially if your amp is mounted in a remote spot.
