Just obtained an hopefully working keyfob for this. That brings our total to 2 to match the keys.
Upon working with this system I've extracted it and took a few photos of the wiring layout/pinouts and reinstalled it.
The valet switch was put in an awful spot, right next to the parking brake pedal. Really stupid as it's a manual stick shift. I will be installing a new switch in a different spot.
Here's the questions and I hope to find someone that owns one of these systems to lend a hand with it's "personality"
I've noted that the horn output seems to have been dealership wired to the body module. Basically it runs all the turn signal lights when the system is arming, tripped, or the panic button is pressed.
At NO times does any horn or siren go off: Question: Did this system have an external siren or horn? Or did it somehow work off the normal "Beep" horn the driver uses. If it's an external one- Where in the wide world of sports did they mount that thing? Can't seem to locate it to see if it's wired up or damaged.
So far it looks like all it does is kill the starter (I'm okay with that) Lock doors when the key is rotated to the "start" position (annoying, but we can live with it) And unlock/lock doors while flashing the turn signal lights.
I'll be doing the brake job on it Sunday and would like to also program the new fob at that time. I'd also like to address any alarm problems, as that would help save a few pennies off my insurance, as well be a deter for any theft as I work in a shopping mall store as a manager.
Thanks!!! I'll have a different question about the rear gate/glass locker as well.
