Need extension / swivel / square drive adapter / for 96 4.0 spark plug replacement?

Thanks toypaseo! Going to be a while before it's needed for the ST, but have many
lawn tools that seem to burn through spark plugs. Did you get those plugs changed yet? ;)

I don't know what the OHV is like, but for my SOHC, I did all my work through the wheel wells, and did not need any special swivel or flex ratchets, just standard ratchets with extensions. Was a lot easier than trying to get to the plugs from the top.

14+ months later... finally done

I think it took over three hours for the plugs, and new wires. Passenger plugs were :frustrated: and the driver plug wires were :frustrated:

The key tools in my job were the Gearwrench swivel spark plug socket, and an 18"(?) long socket extension. If/when I change the plugs again, I plan to try my locking extensions, since the swivel spark plug socket always stuck on the plug when trying to pull it off with a regular extension.

Hmm , I used one ratchet and maybe 2 extensions with a swivel and I don't gap , I have heard when the plugs come with the paper covering the electrode that gapping was not necessary , its that true ? I have never had problems with plugs :-)

I always double check gaps on new plugs. I have noticed slight differences throughout the years, but almost all were pretty close. I can remember a few being way off, but it was visually easy to notice.
