I did search but I get so many hits.

I want a good locker that wont kill me on the street. Also wont break the bank. I would love to go ARB but I cant justify the $$$ especially when I would like to go SAS. So a good front locker for the dana 35, how much should I be paying for it and where to get. Yes I know 4x4wholesalers but they aren't always the cheapest and after thier crappy job of installing my lift years ago I would like to avoid them. Any input and thoughts?
Thanks!

I have the EZlocker and it seems to be just fine. Any of the 'lunchbox' lockers should work just as well. You could buy from 4WPW, and them take the locker to a driveline shop or other experienced mechanic for installation. I do understand about not wanting 4WPW to do the install!
Also, you might check to see if the Aussielocker for the D35 is out yet.

RangerX, thanks for the input. I forgot about Aussie. I was on there list but they cancelled it cause it was taking so long. I will research it.

How much for the EZ for the dana 35? Or should I say do you recall what you paid?

I think it was $204 from 4WPW.
I just checked their ad, it's $241, so maybe that's what I paid. I was last year!
Why do you say, you don't want a locker that'll kill you on the street? You have locking hubs, right?

Doh! Yes I do! Never mind about the street quote. I'm tired and wasn't thinking. Thanks for the wake up and the price.

Oh by the way, They call it a QuickLok, but it's an EZ-Locker in a different box.

Anyone else?

Ok you skally wags.

My options are ARB, Locrite or a EZ locker for a ranger. Is that all are options?

You ruled out ARB in your opening post! :p

I know but I'm trying to see what all is available. ARB would be soooo nice but I have to have cash to get to Moab!

No, there is also the el-cheapo way - weld it up.

Cost, oh, about $15, and that's the gasket maker and gear lube.

Also, you can get a full detroit locker for the front.

It replaces the carrier, like the ARB.

Yea right. She's not a trailer rig Tom.

The detroit is a bit pricey. I want to go SA and just want some type of locker for the front for the next 6 months or so while I accumulate parts.

I have the QuickLok AKA EZ locker in the front of my 91 Xplor and have no probs with it, it works great. I have yet to get to Moab with it though. I installed it myself, wasnt too bad. I bought mine from 4wpw and I think it has a lifetime warranty with it from them.

Sucks that you have 4.10 gears. I have my 3rd member for sale with 4.56s and an ARB with it. So close but yet so far.

My first locker was an EZ locker. Loved it!!! I blew the ring gear and it took everything with it and then I went ARB front and rear.

If I could find those sort of deals everyday, I would be the biggest eBay auctioneer of all time... Just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

I do have a son in the business and he can cut some fair deals on new stuff, but his prices are pretty much what they get on most of the 4x4 wholesale sites online. Wish that I could just get you the prices that I get, but the shop won't make exceptions to their family only rule... Have to keep the lights on you know...

What are you looking for, exactly, I'll run it by him for a price and get back to you...
