I bought a set of American Racing rims from American Racing directly. I told them I needed 2 open center caps for the hubs. Got the rims, & they didn't come with 2 open center caps. I called & asked them about it. They informed me they no longer make them in the 4.5" bolt patteren because they are obsolete. WTF! How can they make rims but not the caps?

Anyone know where I might find some? I have 4 closed end ones. I might be able to cut holes in 2 of them, but they won't be neat. I'm sure once I cut, all the silver paint will chip right off & look like sh*t.

maybe you could try pepboys or autozone. They ussually carry a variety of closed and open end caps. Just measure the diameter of the center hole in the wheel, then find the cap that fits. The caps ussually have the diameters of the center holes they fit marked on the package.

i say they are full of crap, someone who took the order was too lazy to fix it....

i used to work for a tire place, and they tried to give us 4 closed ones, i went back, and got the 2 open ended ones..... they are lazy @ american racing and jsut dont wnat to go look for them... obsolete my foot... the centercaps also on most wheels have nothing to do with the size of the bolt pattern.... they are just a cap that goes in the rim before you put the tire on...
