Need help ID a part inside wheel well on 2003 XLT

i need to find replacement part for a flexible splash guard on my 2003 XLT in driver's side wheel well. It is towards front of vehicle and secures to the wheel well with the push in Christmas tree type fasteners. It would be the flexible panel you would remove to service power steering pump or oil filter adapter maybe? Mine has a tear and I noticed it doesn't want to stay tucked in behind the body. I could "stitch" it with zip ties in holes on either side of tear but would rather replace it if I can find it. I searched Rock Auto and also Fordparts.com and not able to find the part or the proper name. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Thanks but I don't think that's it if you were thinking it's #2. The illustration doesn't look like the part I'm talking about. In fact I think the part I am after connects to this #2 with the push type fasteners. The part I'm after is flexible almost rubbery material and it provides protection from water and anything else getting to engine bay from wheelwell. If you take off the fasteners that secure the part in question you get clear look at power steering pump and oil filter

Hmmm... tough find. I wonder if you could take one available for a 95-01 and cut one out of it Maybe even find some cheap thin floor mats and cut one out of it

I was tried to find a replacement for the one on my 96 in the junkyard, most were trash, or missing. I found one. One. It was not mint, but good enough shape to use. Cheaper than getting a new aftermarket one by far.

I could not locate a replacement flap online so I took all the push in connectors off, removed it and used 6 plastic zip ties to stitch on each side of the tear and it came out very good. I wish I could upload pictures here to show my work but I never have been able to. What I did was drill small holes about 1/2" away from each side of the tear and then criss crossed two cable ties so it made an x and looks like your shoestrings on a tennis shoe. I put the ends on inside of this flap facing the engine bay and bought new push connectors at Lowes to reattach it. Looks like this repair is going to work well

This is a wrecking yard item. They changed the design throughout the years. The '05, it's part of the wheel well shroud itself.

Any version should work, what you need to be mindful about is the mounting screws located at the front of the wheel area. There's two and they seem to vary in location, or distance apart. Certainly your wheel well trim matters as well.

Best to take your old one (not just the flimsy flap) with you, or detailed measurements.
