- 2001 Ford Explorer
Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and could use some help on my project. Not sure what category this would normally fall under. I am using a 2001 4.0 explorer that was in a rollover and I have cut away the entire body down to the firewall and front floorboards. It ran fine after the rollover before cutting away the body. With the dash back in and reconnected the engine cranks but won't start. I have fuel pressure but no spark. I have read some of the threads that ask about whether the check engine light comes on with key in RUN and whether the THEFT light was flashing rapidly. I have both these conditions but can't find what it means. Sounded like either a PATS issue or PCM power issue. I DO have 12v power at the coil but I am assuming there is no firing signal received in the other wires. Can someone help explain what it means when the check engine light does not come on and the THEFT light flashes rapidly? I am assuming I have missed a wiring harness connector or ground somewhere in connecting the harness back together.
Thanks for any help!
