well im new to the forum, and had started a fiberglass box about a month ago, i never finished it because i havent gone to a fabric store to get some flece, plus im kinda stuck on how to get the flece to stick to the other part of fiberglass.
well heres a picture of what ive done. i actually have a molding for both sides with about 4 layers total, 2 of resin and 2 of mat.
i was looking at some of the stuff that was done on this forum, and noticed that everyone/most people did a frame out of wood then put flece on and glassed it. i was thinking of starting over but then i was thinking since i got this far may as well finish it. so im thinking that i should finally design a frame for it, or atleast a frame for the sub or should i make a structural design to give the box some shape? the subs are going to be pointed at an upward angle, or maybe even to the opposite back corner of the car depending on how much air space i got when i look at it.
P.S. is there a wire that goes to the factory amp (note my car has premium JBL audio) that is remoted? i was trying to connect my amp to it because i wanted to keep everything factory and replace it as it breaks.
i got a system connected right now but i have to flick a switch to turn it on and off an sometimes i forget to turn it off. the sub box is hella big, i had made it for 2 S15L7's(but it may actually fit 2 18's), but never got around to buying them (i spent the equivalence of the price of the 2 subs on the amout of audio equipment i got, somewhere around 16 subs: 8 12's{4 Koiiler's, 2 HSL-12's, 2 GS1240's}, 4 10's{2 HSL-10D's, 2 GS1040's} and 2 8's{2 RT-8's}); but its nice to know that i still got the option there just in case the Solobarics happen to fall in to my hands.
