need help please 1991 ford ranger 2.3

i have a 1991 ford ranger 2.3 just replaced a head gasket now i can not get it to start i'm getting spark to the first plug wire and everything is hooked up i have no idea can someone help me please

Have you verified that the cam/piston timing is correct? IT is trickier than what you would think on the 2.3.I have a 90 Ranger with a 2.3 and had to RE-verify the cam timing.
