So this has been going on for the last 4 days or so (the idling part)...we had a NASTY storm the other day you'd swear a hurricane came through...it was horrid. Ever since that storm and me driving to work in the storm...my car will idle at about 1200rpm (usual is 500) when ever it wants to. it will go from 500 to 1000-1200 at any given moment no matter if the car is in park or in drive. Also i cleaned out the throttle body about a month ago...it has been idling fine until the storm. Any ideas?
Also my temp gauge is acting weird. I'm guessing it is the thermostat. It will stay on C...then shoot up to the middle out of nowhere...sometimes it will drop back down to C..then when the motor finally gets to temp it will act normal...also there have been times where it will shoot up to Cold then Hot then back down to Cold like 2 min after i start the car lol.
Forgot to add the car is a 1999 exploder. 4.0L SOHC.
