The brake hose on my driver side cracked and leaking severely to the point where I can't drive the truck and I need to replace it. Is there a write up on ho to do it that I can find anywhere? How difficult is the actual hose swap? what tools do I need?

Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't be very hard at all. You will have to bleed the air from your brakes. Buy a Chiltons or Haynes manual and it should walk you thru the procedure.

I was looking at mine the other day '91 4WD, the drivers side looks easy, the Passenger side is a bit tougher with the Inner Fender Well being in the way.
Use a lot of Kroil or B Blaster on the Threads a few days before starting and hope the Nut turns without twisting the Hard Brake lines.
Other then that it's pretty intuitive after you look at the new part.
As mentioned, you will have to bleed the front lines.

I got the line replaced, it was a cake walk, but then the damn bleeder valve was stripped so right now the brakes are spongy...

Always something. Gotta use those 6 point sockets on the Bleeders.

Glad to hear the hose went well, sorry about the bleeder.

I bet if you put the new hose on and filled the reservior, it would have gravity blead overnight. But you pumped the air into the caliper now.
I can beat my head against the wall trying to bleed my Motorcycle Clutch Slave.... let it sit overnight and it comes up in a heartbeat.
