2010 sport trac xlt 4.0 l
Im new in here first post,
Ive been working on a 2010 sport trac. 4.0
Im doing this work for a dear freind...
I did timing chain /cassette replacments both front and rear...
Pulled the engine etc.
Engine is back in everything buttoned up and tryed to start and itll kick over but wont start.
I had p2110,2104,2107 i found a short on the wiring on the actuator..
Still only just a kick no start.. fuel pressure is 38 psi, tps sensor working acc pedal working..
Just dont know what else i could do to get this to start...
Please tell me with this horrible design that i got the timing correct..
Just for the record i used the otc tool to set the timing, i took everything off and rollednthe engine over 4-5 times and made sure the tool went back into perfect alignment ... everything looked good..
Looking for recommendations thanks in advance

but you still need to check for spark, fuel, compression

Ok i beleive i found the issue with the throttle body, as you know how bad the wireing can get on these older models.. i had to bare wires touching on the actuator harness...
Im going to repin these but for the time being i taped them up.. and the code erased..
Is there any way to check timing other than putting the tool on..?
When i was doing the chains while the engine way out... i had put on the tool and timed it..got everything tight .. then rolledbthe engine over... and i could only get maybe 1/2 way around and it would stop cold...
So i loosened everything up, pulled the rockers and redid everything...
Got the rockers back on rolled it over, after pulling the tool. And it rolled over just fine...
So since theres no way to look at marks i put it to tdc and re installed the alignment tool , and it fell i to place...
But when it trys to start it sounds like my fireing order on my wires is off...

I have never done this, the only thing I would say is maybe it is timed 180degrees out, but maybe the tool does not allow that, have had this happen on old school motors to me
