well lets see... i have a 94 explorer eddie with power everything and 4x4 leather and just about everything a 94 explorer could have.. but anyways, i really want to start making this stock explorer a BEAST! but im gonna try to keep the $$ down a little, i want to fit 37's on my explorer. and no i do not want to sas, that just seems about the stupidest thing for me to do now, since 3 weeks ago, my front end was completely rebuilt. but i dont want that terrible death wooble at 70mph, and i want it to ride and handle fairly good, and i asking to much?

i was thinking maybe 7" of susp and 2" body lift, and fiberglass fenders, would that cause that?

37's and you will rebuild your front end every three weeks. Look in the gallerys for ideas and read the posts. You'll learn what works through others mistakes or ill conceived plans. Most do the SAS because it works for their needs. That and when we cruise the boulevards its usually the quickest way to the trailhead, beer store or to get more parts for our buddy's rig that's busted in the hills. You want to keep your stock parts, 3" lift a set of 31's and some tow hooks on the frame rails. That way we can drag you through the rough stuff if really want to come out and play. The Dana 35 setup in an Ex is capable to do a lot but as with everything does have it's limits and 37's are well past that. Pushing the limits of a Dana 44 with 37's without a good set of axles and joints. Just read the threads, There's a lot of good people here and loads of info on doing it right the first time, and the second and so on.

Welcome to the site... You'll find lots of info by using the search feature.. But to answer your question 37s are way too big and heavy for the D35 front end.. Running anything bigger than 35s will strain the front end.. You'll be real good at replacing bearings as they will go out quickly...

well i talked with a friend of mine, and we decided a 4" lift would be right so we order a rough country, good price, would a 2" body lift on top of that 4" lift cause it to death wooble?

also i need to startin thinking about tires, 35x12.50r15 mud rovers or super swamper 34x10.50r15? does width really matter that much?

not a fan of body lifts, pushes center of gravity up and makes it more unstable at highway speed. I would do the trusty hockey puck body lift which is about an 1". I run the LTB's 34x10.5 on 17" rims on my Ranger, a lot of road noise but deaf anyways. You keep refering to death wobble, if you lift it and have a good alignment, balanced tires and a fresh steering, i.e. tie rods, draglink and pitman arm, shouldn't have any problems. Find a good 4x4 shop that does allignments and have them do it, while there regear the axles. Otherwise kiss that french made A4LD transmission goodbye. I would like to think the EPA would arrest you for using it as boat anchor, as they are about worthless in stock form. Rebuilt mine with the Sonnax upgrades and HD bands, it gave up the ghost after 213,000 miles. Now have overbuilt, overkill of a C4 trans conversion. Deductive reasoning says if it's built to handle up to 400 h.p. then the 160h.p. from the 4.0L shouldn't faze it.
