where to start?

take the bolts out where the two bars connect. The rears are simple...2 bolts. The fronts you will need to remove that bar that goes from the sway bar to the lower control arm...still easy, but a little more invoved than the rear.

but remember when you take the sway bars off the truck will change in it's handilling ability....if you are a all around normal speed driving driver take them off(if it is too much put them back on) if you take corners at 60 that should be at 20 and are chirping tires on evrey corner please only take it off for off-roading. When you remove the front it will become true IFS and i have heard that the ride gets better with the front off. As for the rear i think you get 6 inches for droop.

having both off on the road can be scary. Esp if lifted. I know when i drive with both mine off (try not to as much as possible) I will have to take turns VERY VERY slow in order to keep the body roll in a safe spectrum. Also the truck will "dive" into turns which can be bad if lifted as well. Do yourself a favor and remove the rear [fine for street] and leave the front connected until you get to the trail.

exactly......for the rear if it is very bothersome off you can use sway bar disco's.

so i should tkae the rear off and take the front off when i go off road only, right? thanks for the quick response, as i'm doing a tt/shackle lift right now, and probably going to take the back off as well.

take the rear off...leave the front on (unless you are offroad). If it feels tippy....put the rear back on.

I run Explorer Express bars when in the city to get my handling closer to stock. When hitting a trail I simply disconnect them. It takes me all of ten minutes which in turn is less than airing down the tires.. The rear links are an 18mm my fronts are Energy Suspension so standard rather than metric.....9/16 for the link
