need help with radio...im new, pleeeease

hi guys. im at the ranger forum and i got my girlfriend a cd player for x-mas for her 94 mazda navajo. what i need to know is...which wires are which??? i wasnt able to find the right wiring harness for her car and i need to wire it today...

all i need to know is the speakers??? which wire is pos and which is neg for each speaker???? i was told you guys are really friendly...so hoefully i can get some quick help with this

i cant wait...i honestly have to do this...if anyone has a haynes manual please help me, im dyin

I don't see why a wiring harness from an Explorer of the same year wouldn't work, being that they are the same aside from the front end sheetmetal and badging (as far as I know...).

Here is what I have done in the past. Get a ninevolt batery, take a wire and hold it to the batery. Take another one of your wires and touch the other side if you here a pop from one of your speakers those two wires go to that speaker. Tape them together. Do you know what I mean? Just continue till you have all the speaker wires all sorted out. If i'm not mistaken there should be a solid and a striped wire for each speaker. The striped one I believe but i may be wrong is the negative wire and the solid colored one is the positive.

alright. als, the harnesses arent the same. the ford one uses 2 long plugs and the mazda one uses one long plug and one square plug. ill try what the one guy said though. if anyone gets the wire colors please post them...thanks

The wires for a 99 ( if that helps ) are as follows:

Orange Illumination]
Orange.black dimmer
Violet Right rear speaker positive
Violet/black Right rear speaker negative
Gray Right front speaker positive
Gray/black Right front speaker negative
Yellow 12 v constant
Red 12 v switched
Black Chassis ground
Green Left rear speaker positive
Green/black Left reat speaker negative
White Left front speaker positive
White.black Left front speaker negative
