Hey I have a 2001 sportrak that I have found lots of great info on here for. This post however is for my other car...

I recently purchased a 2007 explorer head unit with cd and labeled mp3 on the front With it I got the wiring plugs that plug into the radio as well as the anteneas for radio and satellite. I made sure to get the satellite box as well.
The problem I have is I am putting this radio into a 1953 Pontiac :D. I need to know the wiring diagram for the satellite box. I have the plug comming out of it but dont know what the wires connect to on the head unit, and the colors do not all add up. Any help as to where to locate some info on this would be great. I have the diagram for the radio itself speakers power ect.. just need to know how to connect the satellite box.

Thanks in advance

Gordon

here's your problem:

"I am putting this radio into a 1953 Pontiac "

lol, but are you needing a diagram for the colors and what they do for the pontiac?

I need to know what the connections on the satellite box go to. IE... what they connect to on the ford then I can run what I need for wires on the pontiac. The radio itself needs
to connect to the satellite box. I am pretty sure there were no satellite radios in 1953, thanks though...

I don't know if this helps at all...

your best bet would probably be to go down to your local ford dealer and ask a mechanic to pull up the wiring diagram for it. then you know it will all be correct.
