Need help with whinning sound under hood

Hey I have a 98 ford explorer and during the hot spring and summer in south ms. My truck has started to make a high pitch sound around my engine. It make this sound when I'm going do the road,sitting at a light or parking lot. We traced it but can't find out y. Also since it stared its burning oil too. But not to were you can see it from the outside. Noticed it when i changed my oil. Please help if you can. Thank you for any help.

try to pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from. youll need a good ear. operate the throttle cable and see it it changes at all. any PCM codes? try running KOEO and KOER tests. How do you know its burning oil when u r changing the oil?
