need help

i have a 04 explorer and it keeps over heating randomley i think there might be air in the system.. and now after it overheated the check eng, light came on and it spudders sometimes. says mis fire nr 4 cyl. any ideas

You are skipping on number 4 and you may need a clutch on your fan.
