Need more ground clearance

What are my options for adding ground clearance on my 2012 XLT?

Most common is coil spacers and larger tires.

It seems a 'suspension' lift will increase ground clearance. That will allow for larger tires. Depends how much you're willing to spend I guess.

I got my Truxxx lift kit from 4wheelonline. No change in ride quality. If you are planning to do some serious off-roading, I recommend a suspension lift.

If you’re going to do serious off roading, I’d consider a different vehicle.
