Welcome to forum! You would be better off checking the street and performance section. There has been a few people over the years that have installed a wide variety of different engines in these trucks over the year.

You will need a different tranny, as well as intake, engine harness and a few odds and ends.

In short, I'd beef up the stock 4.0 or buy an Explorer with a V8.
