all i can recomend is to pull the door panel off and try to manualy push it back up until u get it fixed, bad regualtor or motor

do u hear any sound coming from the motor when u try to roll it up, like a clicking

try taking the door panel off and not quite hitting but slightly more than tapping on the motor while holding the window button in the up postion, worked for me many times until it finally just quit altogether so maybe it'll at least get it up for you.

No noise in up position, but works going down with passenger control, drivers control doesn't work up or down

Unhook the harness from the motor, and use a battery and some lengths of wire hooked directly to the motor to manually run the motor to roll the window up.

Shove some Viagra in the fuel tank and talk dirty to it?

probably the best and guaranteed to work.

A lot of electrical issues can be traced back to broken/damaged wire(s) in the boot between the body and the door. I found a broken wire and repaired it and all is back to normal!

Here is a great thread for removing the door panel, thanks to borland for the awesome write-up: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=249253

Try holding the switch for that window in the up position on the master switch and have someone slam the door. Odds are the motor is screwed and straight wiring the motor will do no good. You might have to slam it a few times, but it should do the trick if i am correct. I have done this many times with multiple explorers of your vintage. The window motors are known for doing this go down and stick trick on the 02-04 models.

Iv also done the door slam trick as well lol

I bet its the window switch. I would take it to Ford they should get the window rolled up for you, till you have time to get it fixed.

If it's the window switch, why take it to Ford for who know how much $$$... Unhook the window motor harness, touch a wire from the positive terminal to one wire on the motor, and a wire from the negative terminal to the other. If it goes down or wants to go down, switch where the wires go to on the motor.

Leave the plug unhooked when you're done, and it won't go anywhere.

This rear window had the same problem:

Stayed unplugged and closed, unmoved until the day I sold it... :)

dont wanna hijack but my back window motor makes a crunching noise rolling either down or up, the window doesnt move with the motor, it slides down on bumps, took the panel off and what looks like a bicycle brake cable is hanging just need to know what that is
