Hi everyone, Today on the drive home from skiing with my friends, a somewhat loud popping/clunking noise came from the front drivers side suspension area and could be felt in the floorboards when hitting bumps (especially on the drivers side), or when turning into a inclined driveway. I had been in 4wd and was on a dirt road with about 6'' of snow when the noises started happening, but wasnt doing anything crazy, and was surprised it happened.
So I just got home and took a flashlight under the car, and saw that the front sway bar bolt on the drivers side is broken.
My question is, though, I'm guessing since this bolt probably sheared off I'll need to buy that long black piece connected to the lower control arm? as well as the sway bar bolt. What is the name of this part, and/or the part #? Also, what is the part # for the sway bar bolt? Is there a place you recommend going to get these, and how much should I expect to pay? Should I use locktite when putting in the new parts?
Lastly, is there any chance I messed up anything else up driving it like this for about 150 miles? Everything else looked ok, but im no mechanic..
Thanks a ton for you help, and hopefully I can get this fixed tomorrow!
