I am 2wd and want a really really nice street shock. So I ran a search to see what others said and these are what it sounded like I would like...

Rancho RS9000X 9 way adjustables
Bilsteins

Are is everyones thoughts about these two? I also thought that the Bilteins was for extreme off roading not exactly a street shock. Maybe I'm thinking of a different model? And would anyone suggest any others?

I have the RSX9000s and love them. I set the front end a little stiffer than the rear. It seems to keep the truck from diving too much in a corner, but keeps the rear from "bucking" too much on rough roads.

My 4x4 shop tells me that adjustable shocks leak. I have Bilsteins on my Ranger. I like them so much that I am planning to replace the shocks on my X with Bilsteins 5100s

These are the street shocks? How much offroading do you do?

Ok so I think I'm down to the Monroe Sensa-Trac and the Bilstein OE Performance. Since I have a Sport 2 door and the ride quality isnt that great which one should I go with to have the best feel on the road?

bilstein, they automatically valve so they will be softer on road and harder off road

Yea I think thats what I'm gonna go with!

Bilsteins come stock on the Level II Rangers (4x4). I am much more satisfied with their on and off road performance than any other shock I have used. The disadvantage to Bilsteinis price.
