regular (non lift) springs gave me 2 3/4" inches of lift. I am still unable to get it aligned. Just know that. If you get 2.5" lift springs, that would be 5" of lift. You will need to either get lift brackets or cut and turn the beams.

why are you not able to get it aligned?

Spring rates are too high on those to put on an explorer, they will be uber stiff.

spring rates are to high on your springs or the ones i was thinking of getting?

My spring rates are just fine:p: Yes, those springs you want to get will be really stiff. They are not a one size fits all.

so what would you recommend that i do, what springs should i get or should i just go the spring seat direction? i dont have alot of money but would be able to invest no more then 200.00 with an alignment.

What are you looking for exactly, are your springs shot or looking for a little more lift? I would just do the spring seat and shackle mod and call it good.

i was looking to get about 2"-3" of lift. i have a 2" body lift and i made new leaf spring shackles that gave me 1.5" in the rear and it really just leveled the truck out looks great. so if i add a leaf to the rear packs and a coil seat to the front would that give 2" or so?
