Alright here goes this is my first Ford explorer i traded it for an old motorcycle i had.

It needs some work done which isnt to bad.

1993 XLT in ok shape some rust and dents the normal.

The Good
53k on drive train with receipts.

The bad

I need to replace the thermostat. No biggie

Need to replace the wheel bearings in the front not bad came with them

The right front Hub slips. Not bad getting a working one for $30 bucks.

All of that stuff i give a 6 pack in difficulty rating. A mornings work.

the only part that confuses me is the transmission It shift smoothly from P to D isnt the smoothest but from what i have read that is pretty much the normal for expolorers the truck i had back in the day did the same. I never drive automatics anymore so it beats me

My daily driver is a bimmer ok car but BMW really does mean big money waisted Drive train on them is bullet prrof. Everything else on them SUCKS. ok enough ranting about that
The problem is that the parking gear does not engauge

People have told me its this pin that you access through the side of the tranny and you replace

does anyone have more info on this i have tried searching all over the place

Steve
