need some input

I'm getting started building my own bumper, then started thinking about rock sliders. I can't figure out what size/shape of steel to use for the sliders. I have a plan and all for the bumpers, but i'm having some engineering difficulties with the sliders. I just need to reinforce them enough that they'll support the weight of the entire vehicle, and stick out far enough to be hi-lift points. If anyone has any ideas, or suggestions, or pics , it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mine are 2"x3"x1/4"wall rectangular tubing and 2"x2"x1/4" wall for the cross bars and 1/4" plate for the mounts.. They are mounted to the frame rail using grade 8 bolts.

I used 2x3x3/16". Plenty stiff for supporting the weight of the truck.
