I have a 97 explorer ltd, with the mach speakers system and a factory installed Sony cd changer. I would like to upgrade the head unit, and I am wondering if it is possible to keep the controls in the steering wheel for the deck?

Thanks

I have seen adapters for the steering wheel controls. I think they are made by TERK.

You can do it with an adapter from Crutchfield, just gotta get a Head Unit that has a remote control. I think it's rather pricey though(like $50+).

Thanks for the info

I have found a link to a product that apparently will allow you to retain the steering wheel function with almost every (99.8%) after market decks...

link

Thanks again!
