I've searched...quite a bit actually!

I already have part numbers for body lifts for my 93. I'm still not quite decided on which one I'm doing. (BL or SL)

I'm only planning for 2 inches of lift right now as my Explorer is primarily a family vehicle.

Which companies produce this sort of lift, part numbers would be great. I know I can go budget with shackles and f150 coil seats, but from what I read its not quite 2 inches....but part numbers for those would be great too!

Anyways, don't flame, I've read through enough pages already!

Thanks,

lbrowne

F150 coil seat part numbers:
F2TZ5A307A Ford Coil Spring spacer
F2TZ5A307B Ford Coil Spring spacer
Warrior shackles:
WAR-153
Performance Accessories 2" Body lift:
PA792
ProComp add a leaf:
13120

James Duff makes a 2 1/2" lift. Another option that I will be doing soon is to get 2" skyjacker lift coils (summit has them) and either get an AAL or what I'm going to do is get new 2" lift leaf springs from Detroit Eaton. The problem I see with the AAL is my stock spings are already sagging, and they will give you lift over what your springs are now, not stock. You could end up with 2" in the front and 1 1/2" in the back with the AAL, plus it will make the ride a little harsher.

You can also use:
Front Leveling Coils 1 1/2" - 2" 9264-6 $110 and add a leafs from Rough country
Also Old Man emu makes leaf springs (OME-36)that gives you 2" in the rear, kind of expensive, $200-ish...
Dont forget to get camber shims MOOG Part no K8983 2.75 degree if you choose to lift 2" with suspension in front. Happy lifting!

Sounds like a dumb questionb but, how many camber shims would I need?

Two, one at each side. The "shim" looks like a cylinder and on the top there is like a nut then there is an angled drilled hole vertical through the cylinder where the balljoint goes.

Eons ago I had a post for people to put up pics of their budget lifts and I can't find it now (this forum has long since changed!)

What is the Skyjacker part number?

Thanks for the info so far, F150 coil seats for front, shackles and AAL for the rear... for the budget oriented.

Post pics of your budget lift if you can. I'll be doing this before I get new tires - which I'll need before next winter.
