96' Ford Explorer XLT
Hey,
Just the other day it snowed in Arkansas. I decided not to take my explorer out because it was having some tranny problems. So I was riding around on some trails with some buddys and when they brought me back home..I found my Explorer and 3 other Vehicles stuck in My Neighbors yard! To make it short, A "friend" of mine decided he would try to pull someone out with my explorer and, got it buried up to the Frame. Later on, cops came, I got a ticket..but that is all a different story.
Anyways, In the Process of removing my Explore from this gunk the Front Molding that goes around the Fog Lights Got a Huge Crack in it. (tow strap broke and Snapped it in half). Well My "friend" is paying for a replacment on that. And also My rear Bumper which got bent from attepmting to pull this other guy out. So, I am looking for A rear Bumper and the Front Molding piece that goes around the Fog Lights (not sure what its called) I have a 96' XLT by the way. Does anyone have these parts? Also, is there any companys that make a different Foglight Molding ? Just something differnet than factory? Just wondering.
Thanks Alot,
Kendal

well i cant help you with the bumper but i started a thread a while back about the performance products front air dam. I had tbomb post a pic of it for me. here is the link for the thread. check it out. the only bad thing about it is the price. good luck and tell your "friend" to leave your stuff alone.

well, as for the rear bumper I think it can be adjusted back down. loosen the bolts and see what you can do.
I busted the airdam on mine too, then went out and got a 99+ bumper for $350. it was a direct replacement and looks a lot better.
www.bumpers.com
look for "dressed bumpers"

Good luck and hide your keys next time! I can;t believe someone would use your truck wothout permission...if he wanted an Explorer that bad tell him to get his own.

yeah really, i wouldnt let my close friends drive it without permission first.... well, my closet friends all have keys but they will ask me first..they wont just take it...if it is cluttering up their driveway though they have my implied permission to move it....

air dam

Howdy,
Thanks for all of the replies. I dont like the looks of the Explorer Express Airdams but, I do like the looks of the Performance Products one. I looked at the thread posted by 98fordx24 and the only commment on there (by someone that has the airdam) they say that it sucks? Anyone else have this Airdam? Pictures of it? Quality? Also, I will go and ask the Ford place what a factory Airdam would run but, Does anyone know off hand? approx?
This friend of mine really owes me now. Not only will he have to pay for a new front airdam, Fixing the rear bumper, BUT also, I have to go to Court about this Ticket:
Criminal Trespassing
and
Criminal Mishift.
Poor Me!
Another quick question, KKM first or Dual Exhaust with flows?
Thanks
Kendal

The link that Bill put up has a stock airdam for like $59. I have heard 3 comments about the performance products airdam... 2 good and that one bad one that you saw.

As for the KKM and Duals... Def. do both. KKM is about $100 including shipping and the exhaust could be anywhere between $250 and $500 depending on choice of tips and quality of pipe etc. Good luck with everything. Let us know how it turns out.

Cant believe that people wanna drive these things that bad!!!:p
