I have a 2005 Sport Trac Adrenalin and my trans started failing a bit. I'll try to leave what's going on as simplified as I can.
Trans started slipping going into 3rd and then reverse would be harsh
Then after a week all my gears would be fine but only by switching off the overdrive button and cycling through the gears from 1 (and it's like that now)
Got a p0743 code for the TCC solenoid so I replaced it and the filter. Code hasn't come back so that's good.
My question is...why do I need to start from gear one for all my gears to work properly? (It won't accelerate putting it in D)
