first off, I'm confused about lifts... are you useing ranger lifts on your trucks or is there a real 95-97 4door AWD lift kit looking for a 1-4inch lisft, not really too sure just gathering info...

second, is there a way to increases gas milage by modifying the exhaust or air intake? is it reasonable for the amout of savings for lest say 5-8000 mile per year at $1.80 per galon on a 5.0 getting 17mpg city (haven't calculated highway in a while)

third, I want to make the rear gate lift, open and close itself and still be able to operate it manualy... I've fount the lock poping silinoids (can't spell) but can't decide how to lift it... I think ctuators are out, but that leaves me with expensive and hard to do hydraulics or pneumatics... any ideas? really would like to use linear actuators, but hard to do manual open with them...

i dont think there is really a way to do the rear opening automatic without some major fabrication

the ranger lifts people use on here are bodylifts... not suspension lifts.... superlift makes a 4" suspension lift for your truck....

also intake, exhuast and chip will imporve fuel mileage if you are conservative and responsible in your driving habits, otherwise they will just provide more initial power, but hurt mpg and economy

that's exactly what I wanted for a lift!

and I think the rear gate thing could be easily done with brackets to help the gas lifts...

TTT
(still want ideas on how to lift the rear gate)

for the rear lift gate you could try to get ahold of one of the systems used on new suvs and minivans
