I'm looking to this group to see if you have any advice / warnings about replacing the stock AM-FM radio / SAT radio / CD player Stereo system in an 07 Eddie Bauer Ed. Explorer. For the most part, it works fine. But the digital display is shot. Not bad if I just want to listen to the radio, but not good if I want to listen to CDs (audio books, etc..)

I see a number of possible upgrade options on eBay if I want to add GPS Navigation.

What have you learned to do or not do?

Thanks in advance!

There are lots of threads here on that subject, lots of people have done it. I replaced my stock radio with the Alpine unit in my sig. Check Crutchfield for units comparable with your car. They will have any wiring harnesses or extra mounting hardware you would need. If you are going to replace the radio, you really need to replace those speakers too. I kept my original sub-woofer but I had to add a resistor to stop the "pop" noise when it powered on.
