Yeah yeah yeah
I have a 85 Bronco II with a little 2.8L. I swaped in a D35 TTB front axle. My plan is to run 35's with a spooled D35 w/5.13's. Will the D35 hold up relatively well? Keep in mind my engine makes at best 120 HP and yes I wheel it off road and would like to believe I don't hammer to hard but I got to be honest I do have a tendency to hit things harder if at first I don't succeed. :p

I expect to have to replace hub's every now and again but will the axle shafts take it?

Running 35's on the D35 you'll have a problem with wheel bearings loosing up and tearing up the spindles. If you check them like once a month or so you should be fine. As for the spool, well, something has to give eventually.

Yeah I expect the hub's to break every now and again but if the only things I need to worry about are hub breakage and wheel bearings I think I'll be fine. I was concerned about having to replace shafts like every other outing and if that isn't much of a concern then I don't think I have much to worry about. Thanks.

I think the hubs are the weak point on those axles. I ran 33's and only had a problem with wheel bearings so I am unsure.

Thanks for your reply Isles4evr.

Anymore opinions??? Anybody???

 <--- Since this is my thread, Why does this little Thumby guy look stoned? :D

After 3+ years of running nothing less then a 35 on my X I never snapped a shaft. Blew some axle clips and one set of Warn hubs. But I spent countless hours rippin into it re-doin everything to prevent damage.
