neutral towing kit installation

Hi I want to install a neutral towing kit for my 2001 ford explorer xlt 4x4. the knob for the 4ed says auto high and low. can this be done. I have seen on other forums people posting about 2003 and up but nothing on a 2001

If you have all wheel drive, I don't think there is a mod for what you want. I think the on-demand 4wd system can be modded, but you may be stuck like you are. Are you wanting to tow your explorer for a long distance?
