Hello! It’s been a few years since I’ve been on a Ford forum! (The Powerstroke community are great folk!)
I’m a late-30’s family man with a wife and two preschool age kids. My vehicle history has been fun-driving sports coupes and sedans (other than the aforementioned F250). My most recent whip is a BMW 5er—it is a blast to drive but as it is approaching 150k miles I’m sure you know the horror stories
So my wife gave me the green light for a new car and I went straight to the ‘dad-van’—aka the midsize SUV. Not only is this my first SUV but also my first actual brand new vehicle!
I’m a construction project manager and drive over 20k miles per year all over the CO front range. This Explorer is the perfect tool for the job. It’s powerful, comfortable, and practically drives itself. The handling is pretty darn good too, for the class of vehicle.
I’ve always loved auto-enthusiast forums—I’ve been coming to these for decades before ‘social media’! I am looking forward to reading a lot more about this vehicle and also help anyone else out with common issues.
