ok this weekend i am getting 4 alpine 5x7 2 ways, 1 in each door. To power these i am getting a power series 800.4 Rockford Fosgate Amp. After this i hope to be complete with my system. I wanna hear everyones feedback on this too-it hasn't been done yet so if anyone has experience with a better 4 channel amp (i have none) i'd appreciate it.
PS-i am selling the stock door speakers (4) in the for sale Forum if anyone is interested.

Why not components? Amp is fine but there are better choices with speakers.

componetnts are more expensive-i thought about 'em but for right now the 5x7 2 way type R fits my needs.

any components you had in mind?

Diamond Audio Components are excellent, MB quarts, Focals.

diamonds and the focals are both excellent if you were to go with prefab components. but im sure those 5x7 will be fine :D

ok-well this is getting done tommorow and i still have a day to decide-it's either Alpine type R 5x7 2-way speakers or MA audio 5x7 2-way speakers. Another thing-my sub amp and cap are mounted to the back of the right rear passenger seat-i really don't want to have my speaker amp mounted to the back of the other rear passenger seat-i want to go with a more stealth look. Would it be possible to mount the amp inside one of my doors? My only concern was not being able to roll the window all the way down.......anything else that would hinder mounting the amp in a door?

bump-i saw Kmac's amp install underneath his seats-that is awesome. Ya think the shop would do that for me?

The shop will generally do anything you want:D It just gets expensive. I don't think it's possible to get the amp in the door. An under the seat mount isn't all that difficult and shoudn't bee too much $$$.
